Michael Curry is the CEO of the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers and serves on the Boston COVID-19 Health Inequities Task Force and the Massachusetts Public Health Association’s Task Force on Coronavirus and Equity. Curry works with over 52 health centers serving over 1 million patients across Massachusetts. Bringing 25 years of experience in civil rights advocacy, Curry shared about his work promoting diversity and equity in health policy and leadership.
Nicole Huberfeld is the Edward R. Utley Professor of Health Law at Boston University School of Public Health and a professor of law at Boston University School of Law. An expert in federalism, Huberfeld studies the intersection of health law and constitutional law. Before moderating a panel on health law at APHA, Huberfeld spoke about her work in reproductive health law and the changing atmosphere of health rights in the U.S.
Christina Dantam and Rhea Manocha work as a team on the Grassroots Maternal and Child Health Initiative at Indiana University Fairbanks School of Public Health. Dantam is pursuing her MPH in law and maternal health, and will complete her degree program in Spring 2023. Manocha works as a user experience designer at Microsoft. Together, the pair teamed up to present the Initiative’s Mothers on the Rise manual, which supports incarcerated mothers navigating the health system.
