Wen-Jui Han

Wen-Jui Han is currently a Professor and Director of PhD Program in the Silver School of Social Work at New York University in New York City. Her research interests are in the area of child care, parental employment including precarious work schedules, child and adolescent academic and health well-being, immigrants, and public policies with special focus on social inequalities.

Long-spell poverty is associated with lower academic performance, but research by Han et al. also found that children of immigrants were doing as well as, if not better than, children with native-born parents in certain areas like math.
