Dr. Jennifer Childs-Roshak, MD, MBA, is the President and CEO of Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts (PPLM) and President of Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund of Massachusetts. Dr. Childs-Roshak leads the largest freestanding reproductive health care provider in the Commonwealth. She also serves as the President of the Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund of Massachusetts, the advocacy and political arm of PPLM. Dr. Childs-Roshak is the first physician to lead these two organizations in their history. Dr. Childs-Roshak earned her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and is board certified in family medicine.

Contraception is Preventative Care

Before the ACA, 55 percent of woman between 18 and 34 reported struggling with the cost of birth control at some point. By declaring contraceptives preventive care, the ACA guaranteed patients, regardless of their economic status, the ability to shape their own lives. This guarantee is in jeopardy.
