Disha Thakkar

Disha Thakkar is an MPH candidate at Boston University School of Public Health pursuing a certificate in health care management. Witnessing the traumatic experiences of patients with oral cancer while completing her Bachelors degree in dental surgery, she is instigated to work towards the prevention of the disease. She aims to employ the synergistic knowledge of public health and oral health to bridge the dental care delivery gaps in both low- and high-resource settings. Disha looks forward to applying this knowledge as she plans to continue with her residency in general dentistry. Apart from caring for teeth, she is a professionally trained dancer and loves painting, journaling, and cooking in her free time.
